This workshop will cover mental health assessments, treatment planning, creating IEP goals for mental health, and how to identify various IEP services/supports for mental health. The workshop will also cover what research-based therapy modalities to utilize given the needs of students by use of case studies such as CBT, DBT, ACT, MI. For each therapy modality, the workshop will provide practical examples of how to apply them in a school-based setting. Tools to address common challenges in school-based counseling such as resistance will also be discussed.
